We are passionate about routine dental care because, aside from cleaning your teeth, we also check for signs of decay, gum disease, and oral cancer. Even if you take excellent care of your teeth and have a wonderful oral hygiene routine, you may still experience problems with your oral health. During a routine cleaning, we remove any lingering plaque and bacteria that can cause decay and gum disease.
When routine care is postponed or avoided, problem areas in the mouth will continue to progress and decline. This can lead to a dental emergency or the need for more in-depth treatment. For many of our patients, we recommend a routine examination every six months; however, we have other patients that require more frequent visits due to an existing condition, such as gum disease. We may also recommend an earlier visit if there is a potential problem area in the mouth that we are monitoring.
If you need to schedule an appointment for you or a loved one, be sure to contact our office located in Knoxville, TN. We can also assist if you are unsure of the date of your last visit or if you need to schedule a recommended treatment. Spring is the perfect time to ensure your mouth is healthy for any upcoming spring and summer events and plans. We look forward to seeing you soon!
